Our Vision
At Sparkfield, we firmly believe that regular strength training has positive effects on people of all ages and is therefore essential for health and well-being.
Our vision was to make an efficient and inspiring full-body strength training experience available in the preferred environments of our users. Drawing on our expertise in strength training and modern robotics, we aimed to develop a device that is not only multifunctional and space-saving but also provides precise data analysis for performance enhancement and injury prevention.
Our goal was to create a training device that is equally suitable for beginners and professional athletes, providing a comprehensive, exciting, safe, and motivating training experience.
With Sparkfield Core, we have not only developed a fitness device but also created a comprehensive training solution that paves the way for a new era in the fitness industry.

Our Story
Birth of the Idea
2019
In early 2019, the convergence of strength training and robotics expertise occurred with Mattias and Amos, both working at Bosch at the time. They began developing conceptual ideas to fundamentally change the strength training experience and filed
initial patent applications. Initial studies were conducted at their former employer,
Bosch.
Founding of Sparkfield
2021
Establishment of Sparkfield GmbH with 5 founders. Conducted extensive market studies, accompanied by interviews with experts and market research among end users. Construction of a full-size demonstrator demonstrating real training
operations including operation via touchscreen (Sparkfield Core V2). Successful preSeed financing as part of the BW preSeed Program.
Equipping the First Fitness Studio
2023
Development of Sparkfield Core V4. Successful completion of endurance tests and
stress tests to meet studio standards; successful approval and CE certification (e.g.,
EMC test). Implementation of user data management in the cloud. Delivery of the
first 4 devices to pilot customers with 16 released exercises, 5 training methods,
training analysis, strength measurement, and more. First successful qualified
financing round. Granting of the basic patent in the USA.
Technical Feasibility
2020
Demonstration of the basic technical feasibility through simulations and the
development of a tabletop demonstrator (Sparkfield Core V1). Conducted various concept studies. Spin-off from Bosch through a management buyout and preparation for the founding of Sparkfield.
Customer-friendly Demonstrator
2022
Construction of Sparkfield Core V3 with a "user-friendly" appearance and enhanced functionality. Release of 6 exercises with training options in sitting and standing
positions. Presentation of the demonstrator at FIBO 2022. Acquisition of the first
partner and pilot customer. Granting of the basic patent in China.
Transition to Mass Production
2024
Serial development of the Sparkfield Core V5 version. Granting of the basic patent in selected countries in Europe.
